A message to members of the Province from the Grand Secretary, RWBro Ryan Williams:
Dear Brethren
A little over two months has passed since R.W.Bro. Paul Norman retired as your Provincial Grand Master and I know how much you have eagerly awaited news of the appointment of his successor.
In more normal circumstances, the appointment of a new Provincial Grand Master would take place shortly before the incumbent retired or very soon afterwards, but the intervention of Covid-19 unfortunately delayed the process in this case.
You will no doubt be pleased to know that the selection process is now complete and I am delighted to inform you that the Grand Master, Most Worshipful Brother His Royal Highness Prince Michael of Kent, GCVO, has appointed W.Bro. David John Boswell, P.G.Swd.B., Assistant Provincial Grand Master (pictured) to be the next Provincial Grand Master for the Province of East Anglia.
I am sure you will join with me in congratulating Worshipful Brother David on his preferment and send him every good wish for a happy and successful period leading the Province.
In sharing this news with you, I must place on record my thanks to the Deputy Provincial Grand Master in Charge for leading the Province so admirably since July. R.W.Bro. Ray’s contribution to Mark Masonry in East Anglia is considerable, so much so that his efforts have been recognised by the Grand Master with a promotion to the rank of Past Grand Junior Warden. Such preferment is rare but well deserved and I very much hope that R.W.Bro. Ray will have the benefit of good health and many years of enjoyment of his new status in the Order.
A date has not yet been fixed for the installation of your new Provincial Grand Master, but as soon as arrangements have been confirmed, I will let you know. In the meantime, R.W.Bro. Ray will continue to lead the Province as Deputy in Charge.
With fraternal regards and best wishes.
R.W.Bro. Ryan A Williams, P.G.J.W.
Grand Secretary
