Friday 13th. is considered by some to be unlucky but that was certainly not the case when Breckland Mark Lodge No.1519 held their Installation meeting in Thetford.
W.Bro. Trevor Bealing of Barnard Mark presented the Travelling Gavels to outgoing Worshipful Master W.Bro. Bob Baldwin. The Gavels were then used by the Overseers for the Ceremony.
The evening saw W.Bro. Michael Churchard Installed as Worshipful Master in to the Chair of Adiniram by W.Bro. Bob Baldwin in a superb ceremony attended by our Provincial Grand Master R.W.Bro. David Boswell, accompanied by his Deputy, his Assistant and a plethora of Active Provincial Officers.
The evening also saw Bro. Richard Bloomfield, Lodge Tyler, present an heirloom sword which has passed through four generations of his Masonic family members, to the Worshipful Master.
The Festive Board, on a Burns Night Theme, saw W.Bro. Ray Russell, Provincial Grand Senior warden and Lodge Secretary, pipe in the Haggis which was ceremonially carried by DPGM V.W.Bro. Gary Allen, before being properly addressed in an excellent manner by WBro. Bernie Docherty.
A brilliant, memorable meeting, in wonderful Mark company, enjoyed by all.
