Barnard Mark in Wymondham, Norfolk hosted a Mark Meets the Craft event where Craft Masons from Norfolk and Suffolk were treated to an interactive presentation and enjoyable buffet Festive Board.
While a short lodge meeting took place, the Craft Masons were given a warm welcome from the Mark Meets the Craft Co-ordinator Richard Pryor, assisted by David Fisk and David Good, before Provincial DC Mark Cook led them into the temple after the Stradbroke meeting was closed.
The PGM David Boswell kicked off the presentation with an overview of the Mark Degree and introduced the Active provincial Officers, followed in more depth by DPGM Gary Allen, the Prov Secretary Mike Staff explained the structure, APGM Designate David Good described the different regalia and jewels displayed worn by members, then rounded off with questions and answers by the PGM.
Time in the bar followed, with an informal and very filling buffet Festive Board with minimal formalities, all completed by 9pm.
The Craft Masons went away with an information pack and first hand experience of the friendship and pleasure we all enjoy. Feedback has been very positive already, with Advancees confirmed for three lodges and others to potentially follow later.
Grateful thanks to Barnard Secretary Trevor Bealing for arranging the meeting on behalf of the lodge. They will be reaping the rewards of at least two Advancees.
