Wroxham Masonic Hall, Norfolk in the Province of East Anglia hosted the travelling Joey Dunlop Mark Lodge 1881 and it’s moored RAM, who came all the way from Leicestershire and Rutland.

Named after the motorcycle racer Joey Dunlop, who lies second on the list of all time victories at the Isle of Man TT Race with 26 wins, they travel around the country for their three meetings each year.

Members of local Mark lodges made sure our visitors were well looked after by arranging refreshment on arrival, manning the bar, setting up the temple with their own equipment and attending both meetings. The Secretary of Wroxham based Ernest Hines Mark, W.Bro Mike Hall, even presented a Grand Lodge Certificate!

With both Candidates unfortunately unable to attend, the Mark and RAM Tracing Boards were presented, split between several brethren.

With reference to Joey Dunlop, the Mark lodge has chequered flags on the Overseers pedestals and uses wooden pistons at the Festive Board to fire toasts – very noisy indeed!

With motorcycle enthusiasts from both Provinces exchanging stories and getting to know each other, a most enjoyable Mark Masonry day was had by all.
