The latest Advancee into Wroxham based Walpole Mark is well known to most Norfolk Craft Masons, plus a few in Suffolk and Cambridgeshire – none other than Norfolk Blues Supremo Tony Cable. Even current APGM Richard Styles came along to welcome Tony into Mark Masonry.
WM Paul Hinton and the Officers of Walpole performed a very good ceremony, assisted by guests Mark Cook, Nigel Hood and Roger Wickham, with Tony coming very close to the ancient punishment being inflicted by myself as Senior Warden and Martin Russell as Senior Deacon.
A good crowd of visitors attended, including friends of Tony who made their way from King’s Lynn for the occasion. We all look forward to seeing Tony make his way round the Province of East Anglia, filling up his diary with even more visiting and enjoying Mark Masonry.
Tony writes...............
'What an evening it was. Absolutely nowhere near what I expected. The only way I can describe it is one of the most fun evenings I’ve had in my short Masonic career. I don’t think I stopped smiling from start to finish. Thank you so much to every person that took part in the ceremony and done an amazing job. Thank you to Richard Pryor for introducing me to Mark Masonry, especially Walpole Lodge, and for the support and help in getting me to and through the evening. Martin Russell what a legend, a true gentleman. APGM Richard Styles, thank you for coming and for your friendship and hospitality at the festive board. Without wanting to repeat myself, thank you to everyone who was there on the evening.
I now just need to find an advancement to go and watch….?'
