Wroxham Lodge of Royal Mark Mariners celebrated 50 years since the Consecration with a Provincial Visit and a double Elevation, plus a free meal for all members together with a celebratory pen for everyone who attended, which numbered over seventy.
The Elevatees, Bros Jason Delf and Gareth Pritchard were treated to a splendid ceremony led by Worshipful Commander Bob Clack, assisted by Past Commanders Colin Farrington with the Signs and Nigel Hood presenting the Working Tools.
Parts 3 & 4 of the RAM Tracing Board was presented to the Elevatees by Bro. David Hedges in an exemplary manner.
The lodge also welcomed two Joining Members, Past Commander Barry Chambers and Bro. Geoff Walker.
The Worshipful Commander offered the Sceptre to the Provincial Grand Master for him to take the Chair of the lodge for the overview of the Lodge history and presentation of a certificate to acknowledge the Lodge having proved 50 years of continuous working. The PGM returned thanks and addressed the Lodge: - he extended congratulations of the Province to the Lodge having proved 50 years of continuous working. There was an overview of Lodge’s history by Lodge Secretary Mike Hall and then he called upon the Provincial Secretary for the presentation of 50th year certificate. The Certificate was returned to the PGM and the Provincial Secretary was escorted back to his seat. The PGM requested the Provincial Director of Ceremonies to conduct the Worshipful Commander of the Lodge to him.
The Brethren were called to Order by the Provincial DC who conducted the Worshipful Commander to the North of the Chair. The PGM formally presented the 50 Year Certificate to him and invited him to resume the Chair of the Lodge. The PGM was conducted to the front of the Pedestal where he saluted the Worshipful Commander then returned to his seat. The Brethren resumed their seats also.
The Worshipful Commander addressed the PGM, thanking him for presenting the certificate and for honouring the Lodge by his presence.
